Geldkatzenwaesche. Annotated Reissue of Ingrid Koeller written work on textile education describes the work and life of Prof. Ingrid Koeller and contextualizes the emerge of her renowned didactic concept of a textile material culture and her academic subject Textile Studies. It gives also an insight into the various archives of the Institute for Material Culture of the University of Oldenburg, which provides a nationwide basis for textile-didactic research, based on Ingrid Köllers original work materials.

The concept which was developed in team (I.DL) is based on a wide research of Ingrid Koeller's work, by getting an insight into her original work materials and personal objects such as files, books, photographs, letters and collections of objects, clothing and accessories which we could find in the Archives of the Institute for Material Culture
The research helped to generate new content for the book such as photo series of Geldkatzen*, private photographs, work material and other personal items of Ingrid Koeller.  The written and visual documentation gives also an insight into the archives.
The visual concept tries to present Ingrid Koellers pragmatic way of thinking and working, like classification and archiving and to transform her work aesthetics into a contemporary design.

“Geldkatze”, means literally “money cat” and is the german word for a kind of purse of Middle Ages and early mid-19th-century . “Wäsche” means laundering.
